Welcome to the Nursery!
On this page you'll find out what we've been learning in Foundation 1.
During Summer term, our core book is The Tiny Seed by Eric Carle.
We will also read Jasper's Beanstalk; Ten Seeds; Oliver's Vegetables and Jack and the Beanstalk.
This half term we will be reading 'Journey' by Aaron Becker as part of a whole school writing project.
World Book Day
Children in Nursery dressed as animals and brought their favourite books to share.
Another snowy day gave Nursery children the opportunity to explore snow. They found that if you catch a snowflake on your hand, it melts really quickly. If you catch a snowflake on your glove, it takes longer. Ellis explained that your hand is warm, so the snowflake melts quickly.
During the day, we made snow cakes in the mud kitchen, snow castles with the buckets and spades and looked closely at the snow with magnifying glasses.
