Forest School Fun!
This week was our last Forest School session this term. We've had great fun exploring Forest School; observing the changes in the woods as trees grow new leaves; plants begin to flower and birds build nests and raise chicks.
We have climbed trees; rolled down hills; played on the mud slide; listened to and told our own stories; made paint brushes from natural materials; used peelers to make damper bread sticks; collected fire wood for our fire; cooked bread on the fire and shared warm drinks in the fire circle.
World Book Day!
We dressed up as our favourite animal characters from books for World Book Day!
It was very exciting to see everyone's outfits!
We found out which books were our friends' favourites and we shared some of them at story time!
We learnt about Chinese New Year!
We looked at how Chinese New Year is celebrated, what is eaten and what music is played!
We made a Chinese dragon, practised Chinese writing and painted cherry blossoms!
We learned all about robots and explored what they could be made from...
We then made our own robots!
Some we made at school and some we made at home!
This half term our class has been learning about the Nativity story. We are looking forward to telling our grown-ups about our learning in our special Nativity worship.
