Welcome to Whitchurch Church of England Infant & Nursery Academy
"Learning as we grow. Growing as we learn. Rooted in Jesus"
We hope you will find our website useful and informative and that it will inspire you to visit our wonderful school and meet our dedicated teachers and fantastic children.
Our principal aim at Whitchurch Church of England Infant & Nursery Academy is to provide a caring and stimulating Christian environment where the children will feel valued and secure and develop a love of learning. Every child is encouraged to care for, respect and appreciate others, developing positive relationships as they take their first steps towards becoming responsible, thoughtful and confident adults of the future.
As a ‘Church of England’ school, we believe it is important that our children develop core values by which to live and which help to develop a moral and spiritual awareness. We seek to explore the meanings of the core values and their significance through daily acts of worship. The gifts of ‘Respect, Kindness, Honesty, Trust, Peace and Love’ are the values we want our children to leave our school with.
We have a strong relationship between our school and St Alkmund’s Church and work alongside our Governors and in partnership with parents, carers and members of our local and wider communities.
In November 2017, our school was rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED. The inspector noted, “Parents …hold the school in high regard. They appreciate the strong ‘family orientated’ atmosphere that you and your team have created. This is fundamental to the Christian ethos and values that underpin the work of the school. Many parents commented on how well the school supports their child’s learning and meets their pastoral needs.”
Our website is only a glimpse of what we feel makes Whitchurch C.E. Infant & Nursery Academy distinctive. The best way for you to appreciate what we can offer your child is to experience our school first hand. We warmly welcome visits to the school from prospective parents and extend an invitation to parents, families and local residents to attend our community events and services.
